Njengomgcini wamasiko nenqubo kaZulu, imisebenzi yeSILO ihlala njalo iwumthombo wobumbano emphakathini  nanjengobufakazi obuqandula ikhanda bezimiso zomphakathi, ezihlanganisa imiphakathi ngisho izikhathi ziguquka.  Silokhu sikhomba indlela futhi silokhu sizibambe njalo izimiso ezingaguqukiyo eziyisisekelo esakha isifundazwe nezwe:  okuyinqubonhle, inhlonipho, ubuhlakani nenzotha. Kuze kube namhlanje iSILO siphumelele ekuletheni isithunzi eSihlalweni nakubantu baso. Kule minyaka sibusa, iSILO senze isiqiniseko sokuthi iSihlalo sikaZulu akusona nje kuphela isikhungo sokuqhuba imikhosi kodwa ikakhulukazi yisikhungo sezimiso esinikela ekusebenzeleni umphakathi ezweni, ekuhlanganiseni ngokwenhlalo kanye nasezidingweni zomnotho. 

Ongangezwe Lakhe uzibeke endaweni lapho ekwazi ukubhekana khona nezindaba ezishisa ibunzi zansuku zonke futhi ahole kulokho abantu abangakunakile noma okubukeka kuyisidala kodwa okuyizimiso zenhlalo ezingapheli. 

Esifundazweni nasezweni okubhekwe yizinselelo zenhlalo eziningi. ISILO sonke isikhathi sisebenzisa amandla aso njengeNgonyama ukwakha idwala lokuziphatha laphakade. Onyakeni waso wama-49 sibusa, silokhu singxabonhlanu singumbusi, singusomasiko, singumzwelibantu, singumthandizwe nosomazwe – umholi ongangatshazwa. 

 INkosi yemikhosi 

 Selokhu kwathi nhlo iziNgonyama zangaphambilini zaziwa ngeminikelo ethize esizweni. Isibonelo iLembe lituswa ngokubumba isizwe, sihlanganise izizwe senze isizwe, sihlanganise izinhlanga senze uhlanga. Khona lapho situswa ngokwakha umkhumbi kaZulu. ISILO esibusayo sinokuthile okungasiwo ukuthi kuchaza isikhathi saso.  Sethulelwa isigqoko hhayi kuphela ngokwenza okungale komlando, kepha okukhulu wukuvuselela amasiko kaZulu siwenze angaxabani nesimanje. Konke lokhu kwenzeka ngempumelelo ngakho belu ukuthi iSILO sinesandla esihle nendlela yokuwusabalalisa lo Mkhosi. Ngawo akusavuseleleki nje amasiko nefagugu kepha sekukhona nokwakheka komnotho ezindaweni zasemakhaya. Namhlanje ngenxa yeSILO lo Mkhosi awukho mbalambala nje kuphela ngenxa yezintombi kepha nezihambeli ezivela kuwo wonke amagumbi amane omhlaba.

Siyongena emlandweni njengomvikeli wawo amasiko lawa njengoba salwa kwaze kwasekugcineni ngesikhathi kukhona abathi akuphele ngoMhlanga kanye nemikhosi lapho kubanjwa khona inkuzi ngezandla. Nanamuhla abake bazama lokho basabitoza. Okunye okuyingqayizivele yindlela Omdala akwazi ukusebenzisa ngayo imikhosi lena namasiko ekuthungeni imiyalezo eyakha isizwe kanye neqwashisa ngezinhlekelele ezifana nengculaza nokhuvethe.

UMbumbi 

Siqonda ubumqoka bokuthula nokuhlangana KwaZulu-Natal kanye nokuqonda izinguquko eziba semaqenjini ombusazwe nokuncinzeka kwezakhamuzi, iSILO sethula iKwaZulu-Natal Public Peace Process. Okusunguliwe okokuqala kubheka ukuthi ukuthula akusikho okwesikhashana kodwa kuyinto eqhubekayo, kuhamba kwedlule ubudlelwano bomphakathi nalokho kwenziwa iziqubu. 

Kubheka ukuthi ukuthula phakathi kwezikhungo akuveli kudlulele ezakhamuzini. Okwesibili, ngokufanelekile okusunguliwe kubheka ukuthi kunomuntu uma kuqhubulushana abantu noma kulethwa ukuthula, futhi ukuqhubulushana akusikhona nje ukungqubuzana kwezakhiwo, ngakho-ke akusilo iqiniso ukuthi amaqembu kuphela angqubuzanayo okufanele athole isixazululo. 

Okokugcina noma mhlawumbe  okusemqoka iKwaZulu-Natal Public Peace Process eyasungulwa iSILO iyakwamukela ukuthi ukuqhubulushana akuthinti kuphela amaqembu ezombusazwe kodwa kubuye kubulale ukuhlangana kwabantu ngokwenhlalo lokho-ke okunomthelela omubi ekutshalweni kwezimali. 

Ekuphokopheleni ukuqeda ukungqubuzana, iSILO, ngeqhaza laso lokuhola ukuzwana emasikweni ehlukene, sisebenzise isiko ukwakha ubumbano phakathi kwezinhlanga nezinkolo, ngokubuyisela izimiso ezinhle emiphakathini yethu lapho abadla imbuya ngothi nabakhishwa inyumbazana benakekelwa khona. Imikhosi yomdabu njengoMkhosi WoMhlanga noMkhosi WoSelwa ibe nomthelela omuhle ekwakheni isimilo ematshitshini nasemabhungwini, ngokwenzenjalo, kwasiza kwathintibeza ukubhebhetheka kwesandulelangculaza nengculaza. 

ISILO sethule imikhankaso eminingi ezweni lonke kubalwa nezinhlelo zokufundisa izakhamuzi nokusebenzisana nezinhlangano zomphakathi ezigxile enkolweni kanye noHulumeni ukuba akhankase ephikisana nokubulawa nokukhipha inyumbazana iZingane Zofuzo.

Umgcini nomnakekeli wemvelo oqavile, iSILO sihola impi ekubulaweni kobhejane njengoba sibheka ukuthi le mpi akuseyona kuphela engaliwa ngokusayina izivumelwno zamazwe phakathi kwemibuso kanye nemikhankaso yalabo abangabagcinimvelo. Mayelana nalokhu, iSILO sasebenzisana nabakwa-Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife ekusungulweni kwalokho okuqondiswe ekufundiseni izakhamuzi ngomthelela omubi wokuzingela obhejane esifundazweni nasezwenikazi. 

 Sisebenzisa inhlangano yaso esiza umphakathi iKing Zwelithini Foundation, iSILO siqhubekile salekelela sabuye sakhuluma ngemigudu enganakiwe kakhulu. Inhlangano ilekelela ikakhulukazi okusungulwa kuzwelane nabantu njengokubhekana nesandulelangculaza nengculaza, izikhungo zomphakathi zalabo abasegcupheni yokufa, ifagugu lamasiko nokuhlangana komphakathi, kanye nezinhlangano ezibhekelela labo abasengcupheni ngokwenhlalo (abadala, abesifazane, intsha nabakhubazekile). Inhlangano iyisizinda lapho iSILO sikhombisa khona uthando nokunakekela abantu baso.

 Ngesikhathi ehambele kwelamaNgisi eminyakeni emibili eyedlule amaNgisi aqaphela okuthile nosekasde kwaqashelwa ngabakuleli nase-Afrika ngoMnguni Omnyama. Sihamba nje eNgilandi sikhulekelwa ngabantu, esikhundleni sokube baqheliswe siyama sikhuluma nabo abancane nabadala. Abanye bathi babonwa yini, iNkosi yase-Afrika ekwazi ukungabi yisilwane esethusa abantu kunalokho sixoxe nabo. Kabazincishanga kwawubuxhafaxhafa bethatha izithombe. Ngisho abezindaba bakuleliya lizwe babona abangakujwayele ngoba iNkosi yabe iphakathi kwabantu. Ukumamatheka kweSILO okufudumele kwenza nobesaba kanjani kwehla izibilini. Abadala bathi lokhu sakuthatha eNkosini endala uBhusha, inyosi  emchaza njengomuntu owayebathanda abantu bakayise futhi engasukeli muntu.

Kuningi okwenzeka kuso nokukhulunywa phezu kwaso khepha emphakathini sihlale sigqugquzela ubunye nokubuyisana. Kuso zonke izinhlanga zamukelekile, umusa waso unjengemisebe yelanga okumele izifudumeze zonke izizwe ezikhona kweleNdlovukazi uMthaniya.

Inyosi uBuzetsheni Mdletshe cishe ikugoqa konke uma ichaza ngokuthi kambe siyini iSILO kubantu. UMsindazwe uthi: “Nxa kukhotheme iNgonyama kuye kuthiwe; ‘lishonile ilanga Zulu’. Iyilanga elikhanyisela isizwe, uma lelo langa lisithela kuba mnyama ezweni, izimpisi nezinswelaboya zithola ithuba ziniphange ngapha nangapha. ISILO empilweni yomuntu ongumZulu siyimpilo futhi sisho ukuvikeleka kwesizwe. Empeleni ukuphila kwethu kwakhiwa ukuphila kweSILO esisibusayo, naso ukuphila kwaso kume ekuphileni kwesizwe. Uma singahlala sithukuthele kungaba kubi, kanjalo nesizwe nxa singesihle kuchaza ukungabi sesimweni esihle kwaso.

 “ISILO siphefumula ngabantu nabo baphefumula ngaso. Thina uNkulunkulu usibusisile ngoba usigcinele le Nkosi iminyaka engaka. Sinothando olungaphezulu kwale minyaka esesiyiphilile. Empeleni yonke le minyaka ifana nonyaka owodwa nxa ubheka ukujula kothando lwaso ngesizwe saso. Futhi siyisipho noma isitsha esihle sikaNkulunkulu asehlisela esizweni bese (uNkulunkulu) eqaphela ukuthi isizwe sisinakekele kangakanani lesi sitsha. Uma ningasinakekeli uyasithatha, kanti uyasigcina isitsha uma nisinakekele ngobunono.”

Uyaqhubeka athi: “Ngesikhathi ngibuka iNkosi yaseSwazini uSobhuza owaphila iminyaka eyevile kwengama-80 okwahlaluka futhi okuhle ngalokho isizwe besilokhu silalele izwi elilodwa iminyaka eminingi sibe nokuyiqonda indlela yaso yokuhamba. KwaZulu sike saba neshwa iZilo ezingaphambi kwesikhona bezishesha ukuhamba. Sithi sisakhomba indlela bese lishona futhi ilanga. Lokhu bekwenza ukuthi kuke kube neminyaka lapho isizwe sinokuthandabuza kusizakale nabedusi. Ngaleyo ndlela iSILO singumuntu omkhulu esizweni futhi ukuzinza kweSihlalo kusho ukubusiseka kwaleso sizwe,” kuphetha okaNgomane.

Ezikhathini lapho izimo zempilo ziguquguquka, Omnyama uhlala njalo elubhaqa olukhanyisela isizwe sikayise. Ngokungangabazisi uyinhloko yekhaya nesizwe. Ungubaba kaZulu. Ubukhona bakhe phakathi kwethu kuwubufakazi bezolo lethu, inamuhla nekusasa. Umele uZulu osewalala, ophilayo naloyo osazozalwa.
