Isethulo soMntwana uBhekizizwe sokwamukela iziqu zobuDokotela

Nina beSILO, Ngokuzithoba, nginokuthokoza okukhulu ukwamukela ukuhlonishwa kwami ngeziqu zobudokotela namuhla. Ukuhlonishwa kwami ngalendlela  angikuthathi  kalula okungathi yinto nje eyejwayelekile. Okubalulekile kimi, ukusebenza ngokubambisana neNyuvesi yaKwaZulu-Natal enolwazi lwengqondo, nobuchwepheshe bocwaningo nokubamba iqhaza komphakathi ekuzithuthukiseni.

Ngiyathokoza kakhulu ngesinyathelo esithathwe iNyuvesi sokubona ukuthi umsebenzi wokuqopha umlando wesizwe sikaZulu, ubalulekile kakhulu. Ngiyafisa ukubonga nokuncoma umsebenzi owenziwe yiSekela likaShansela we-UKZN, uSolwazi Nhlanhla Mkhize nethimba lakhe abenze ukuba lolusuku lwanamuhla lokuhlonishwa kwami lube yimpumelelo.  Ngiyathokoza futhi kubona bonke abebeyingxenye yokungesekela ukucangcatha nokuqondiswa kwempilo yami, kuloluhambo lwami obelunabo ubunzima nezinselelo. Ngibonge iNkosazana uSolwazi Sazile Mtshali okunguyena owangikhuthaza kakhulu kusukela ngonyaka ka 1985 kuze kube namuhla. Kanye noSolwazi uMntwana uNogwaja engahlangana naye esasebenza e-University yaseStelenboch lapha ayengamele khona izilimi zabomdabu.

Ngibonga umkami uNdlunkulu uJabulisizwe uMzulwini nezingane zami abema nami ngezikhathi ezinzima engabhekana nazo empilweni yami.  Ngibonge iSILO uZwelithini, uMdlokombane odlamadoda, ukungigunyaza kwaso ukuba ngibe ngomunye oqopha umlando ngeNdlunkulu nokungesekela kwaso.  Ngibonge Inkosi uBhekintinta kaPhumanyova eyanginika amagunya okuba ngiqophe umlando weNdlu yakwaMandlakazi futhi yangijuba ukuba ngihole ithimba lokwakhiwa kwamadlwinza amakhosi. Ngibonge uMntwana uClement kaSolomon, kanye  neNkosazana uMntwana uNonhlanhla kaBhekuzulu noMntwana uFani abangikhuthaza kakhulu ukuba ukubhalwa kweNcwadi UMONGO kaZULU  kube yimpumelelo. Laba kimi, ngingabafanisa  nomgogodla  ekungesekeleni kwabo emsebenzini wonke esengiwenzile ngibhala izincwadi ezahlukeneyo kanye nemisebenzi esengiyenzile yaba yimpumelelo ethinta isizwe sikaZulu.

Ngalenkulumo yanamuhla ngiyafisa ukufaka intshisekelo nogqozi lokuphokophela ukuphumelela nokungalilahli ithemba kubo bonke abantu, ikakhulukazi intsha yethu. Ngifisa ukuthi enkulumeni yami yanamuhla sibuke emuva ekubunjweni kwesizwe sikaZulu ngokuba nginifake ugqozi lokuphumelela kweqhawe, nombumbi kaZulu, iSilo uShaka kaSenzangakhona.  Impilo yeSilo uShaka ifundisa abantu abasha, abaphila esikhathini sanamuhla okuningi futhi okujulile nokuyifa gugu asishiyela lona. Kuningi okubhaliwe nokuphawulwayo ngezifundo eziphathelana nobuholi bakhe, kanye nokuhlelwa kwempi yakhe.  Namuhla ngifisa ukuphawula ngezifundo abantu abasha abangazithola ngokuphila kweSILO uShaka.

Nina beSILO, iNgonyama uShaka nayo yaba yingane eyazalwa ngunina njengathi sonke. Nanxa abantu bakwaZulu babengakwazi ukubhala kodwa ababhali bokuqala bomlando bankankanya ukuthi yazalwa ngonyaka ka 1787. Yakhombisa lelo lukuluku elalinomfutho omangalisayo ekuzalweni kwayo. INdlovukazi uNandi ngelinye ilanga ithi eSilweni uShaka  uma siyifica idlalisa ingane encane ithi kuso: “Lona ufana nawe futhi wenza lokhu okwakwenziwa nguwe usemncane”. Yasithi, “ake umephuce lolukhezo lwakhe aluphetheyo ubone ukuthi uzokwenza njani.”  Isho iNdlovukazi lengane isakhasa. Kwathi uma iSilo siyephuca ukhezo lwayo ingane, yelula isandla sayo yaludonsa, yaluthatha ngesandla esinamandla. INdlovukazi yasithi;  Nawe wawenza njena, usemncane.

INgonyama uShaka yaqopha umlando wayo ongasoze walibaleka esizweni sikaZulu nasemhlabeni jikelele.  Ngithi kangimqale ngesikhathi esengumfanyana owayelusa izimvu zikayise iNkosi uSenzangakhona. Lokhu Waqala ukukwenza eneminyaka emihlanu.  Kwakuthi uma iNdlovukazi imbona ekhala imduduze ithi kuye; “Thula Mlilwana wami uzakukhula ube yiNkosi enkulu ngaphezu kwaMakhosi onke wengamele umhlaba wonke”.  Lana ngamagama amakhulu iNdlovukazi eyayikhuthaza ngawo uMntwana uShaka.  Baningi phakathi kwethu abakhule kanzima njengaye uMntwana uShaka.  Isifundo esimqoka yikuthi ukukhula kanzima makungasenzi silahlekelwe  ukuba nogqozi lokwenza izinto eziphumelelisayo.

Kwathi nangesikhathi uMntwana uShaka eseseLangeni wabonakala njengengane eyisidlova nenonya kwezinye izingane kanti wenziwa ngamandla omfutho ayenawo ayephuphuma enhliziyweni yakhe. Omalumekazi bakhe, baze bambiza ngeNtungwane into yokuthukuzwa.

Sekuthi ngelinye ilanga eluse izinkomo zeNkosi uMakhedama sekuqhamuka imamba emnyama ishaya inkunzi yeNkosi iyibulala. Ngalenkathi uMntwana uShaka uneminyaka eyayibalelwa kwengu 8. UMntwana uShaka wafika kwaMthethwa elinganiselwa eminyakeni engu 13. Nalapho wafika wakhombisa ukuba nesibindi esikhulu engafuni ukwelekelelwa uma esebhekene nesimo esisindayo. Sekuthi ngelinye ilanga  uMntwana uShaka elusile, usezikhweza phezu kwengwe ibamba inkonyane yeNkosi uDingiswayo. Wabhekana nayo uMntwana uShaka wayigwaza wayibulala waseyithwala eyoyethula eNkosini. INkosi yamethulela Inkomo ibonga ubuqhawe bakhe. Kuthi kungakapheli sikhathi esingakanani waphinde wadibana nebhubesi lona lase liqede izinkomo zomphakathi. Wabhekana nalo uMntwana uShaka waligwaza walijuqa, waseyolethula eNkosini.  Inkosi kwayimangalisa lokhu okwakwenziwa yilomfana, uMntwana uShaka. Inkosi uDingiswayo yamethulela izithole eziyishumi lokhu okwamenza ukuba azithole esenomhlambi wezinkomo.

Inkosi uDingiswayo yayineqhawe layo elikhulu elalihola amabutho elalwa izimpi laze laphambana ikhanda. Iqhawe lelo kwakunguLembe wakwaMavundla. ULembe ndini lona kwathi uma esephambene ikhanda wathatha izinkomo zeNkosi nezomphakathi ngokuziqhwaga wayohlala nazo emahlathini phezu kweMfolozi. Kwathi uma uMntwana uShaka ezwa lenkulumo yohlanya oselunqwahe nezinkomo senkosi ehlathini, bese etshela induna uNgomane ukuthi yena angalwehlula uhlanya lolo. UMntwana uShaka wabhekana nalo uhlanya lwakwaMthethwa uLembe  walwa nalo walubulala.

Kwathi uma eseneminyaka engu 18 Inkosi uDingiswayo yambutha ebuthweni leZichwe  elaliholwa yinduna uBhuza Mthethwa. Okwathi kuwo lowonyaka induna uBhuza yagula yashona, iNkosi yase ijuba uMntwana uShaka ukuba kube nguyena oba yinduna yebutho leZichwe.  Loku kwaba ukuhlabana komuntu omusha onekhono, nesiphike, nogqozi lokwenza izinto.  Kuthiwa ibutho leZichwe laba namandla amakhulu ngesikhathi seliholwa uMntwana uShaka. Usebenza ngaphansi kweNkosi uDingiswayo nje umqondo wakhe uyagabavula uzibona ikusasa lakhe esephethe ehola isizwe sakhe sakwaZulu.

Kwathi uma sekuvela ithuba lokuthi ayothatha isihlalo soBukhosi sikayise iNkosi uSenzangakhona, ngonyaka ka 1816, wasuka kwaMthethwa enenhloso eyodwa yokuthi useyomisa uMbuso omkhulu  lapha eyokwakha khona isizwe seNgonyama uZulu. Wahlala esihlalweni soBukhosi eneminyaka engu 29. Waguqula idlela amabutho kaZulu ayelwa ngayo izimpi. Impi yakhe wathi kuhle ihlasele isitha ngofutho omkhulu  okwamagagasi olwandle. Wayeyiphaka imise okwezimpondo zenyathi.  Ubuhlakani bakhe kwezempi, amaqhinga namasu ayewasebenzisa kuleso sikhathi athathwa ngababusi bonke bomhlaba. Ukunqoba kukaZulu amaNgisi empini yaseSandlwana, wayesasebenzisa izindlela zokulwa zobuhlakani nobuchule obabufundiswe yiSilo uShaka.

Yilokhu ukunqoba kukaZulu okwethusa umhlaba wonke, umangaliswa ukuthi kanti kukhona isizwe esinamandla amakhulu kangaka, esikwazi ukwehlula umbuso omkhulu nonamandla wamaNgisi.

UNdunankulu wamaNgisi uBenjamin Disraeli, kwathi uma ethola izindaba ezibuhlungu nezishaqisayo zokuthi, amasotsha eNdlovukazi yamaNgisi, ehluliwe uZulu empini yaseSandlwana, kanti neNkosana yobukhosi baseFrance, uMntwana  uLouis,  iPrince of Imperial  isale enkundleni yempi kaZulu. Babuye bamtshela nokuthi okubethuse kakhulu nabakubonileyo ngamehlo abo ngenkathi impi isabambene, kwahlwa emini. Inhlamvu yelanga yasithela emkhathini,   kwaba mnyama  emini.  Lokhu mhlawumbe uNdunankulu wamaNgisi wakuthatha ngokuthi kuyisigameko esasibalulekile kakhulu.  Lesi isizwe abalwa naso ngesikhethiweyo, ngesikaMvelingqangi. Wakhala elila waphimisela wathi: “UZulu, ngabantu abayisimangaliso. Behlule oJenene bethu, Babathela othulini. Baguqula abaBhishobhi bethu. Baqeda umlibo wobukhosi wondeni omkhulu nonamandla waseYurophu”

Ukunqoba kukaZulu eSandlwana, kwaba ukufezeka kwephupho leSilo uShaka lapha sasibona umbuso waso ukhula uba mkhulu , ikhanda laso lize liyosithela amafini kuthi uma abantu bethi bayalibheka bangaliboni. Ubuso baso, sasibuthatha ngokuthi bungubuso bukaZulu. Sasithi, kothi uma izizwe zomhlaba zibubheka buzixhophe njemisebe yelanga esibhakabhakeni.  ISILO uShaka sasithi, uma sona sikhula, nabantu baso bayokhula kanye naso, bawengamele wonke umhlaba. Yilokhu ke okwafezeka ngempi yaseSandlwana lapho ilanga lacima khona emini.

Ababhali bomlando abakuqhakambisi ukuthi iNgonyama uCetshwayo eyayihlezi esihlalweni seSILO uShaka, yaba nguMbusi womhlaba  jikelele izinyanga eziyisithupha emveni kokunqoba kwayo amaNgisi empini yaseSandlwana. Ukunqoba kukaZulu eSandlwana kwakusho ukuthi ifulegi likaZulu laphakama ngaphambi kwezindlu zephalamende zombuso wamaNgisi eNgilande naseKapa. Ngaleso sizathu, kufanele ngabe thina Zulu siziqhenya kakhuku ngesigameko sokunqoba kokhokho bethu umhlaba eSandlwana.

Igazi lamaqhawe elachitheka entabeni iSandlwana, lalivikela lokho okuyifa nokuyigugu elikhulu kakhulu  kithina Zulu, INHLABATHI. Nanamuhla akukho kithina esiphila kulesi sikhathi esingakulinganisa nayo. ISihlalo lesi soBukhosi singumlomo wokukhulumela nokuvikela izwe likaZulu, INHLABATHI.

Nizokhumbula ukuthi ISILO uShaka sakhothama ngonyaka ka-1828, kanti impi yaseSandlwana yalwa ngo-1879 kwakusaphele iminyaka engu-51 kuphela iNgonyama uShaka ikhotheme. UZulu wayesaziqonda futhi esazikhumbula kahle izindlela zokulwa zempi azifundiswa ISILO uShaka.

Ngokwezinhlelo zikaHulumeni zanamuhla, umuntu oneminyaka engu-29 usesigabeni sokuba umuntu omusha. Wayenomqondo wokuthi uma ebumba ehlanganisa izizwe ezincane, uyokwakha ngazo isizwe esikhulu, esiyokuma siqine.  Wakumisa ukuthi uma amabutho akhe eyohlasela angalingi abulale abantu besifazane nezingane kanye namabhungu ngenhloso yokwakha ngabo isizwe esisha. Wasebenza enenkolelo enkulu yokuthi konke akwenzayo kuyinhloso yabaphansi. Kuyinhloso kaMvelinqangi.  Wasebenza ngokuzikhandla okukhulu kusemqondweni wakhe ukuthi isikhathi sokuphila kwakhe sifushane futhi uyophendula kuMathongo kaZulu uma efika kuwo.

Sasininga ngokuthi ukuhlala kwaso esihlalweni soBukhosi seSILO uZulu, kwamiswa ngabaphansi. Yingakho yayikholelwa ekutheni ekwenzayo kwesekelwe ngaBaphansi noMvelinqangi ukuze imise umbuso omkhulu noqinile kaZulu.  Yayikholwa ukuthi izwi likaShaka liyizwi likaZulu. Izwi likaShaka liyizwi laBaphansi. Izwi likaShaka liyizwi likaMvelinqangi.  Yayicabanga njalo ukwenza izinto ezinkulu zodwa lokhu kwakuyenza ibone izinto ezingabonwa ngabanye abantu. Yanqoba izizwe ezahlukeneyo yaqeda imincele ngoba yiyona eyayixabanisa abantu.

NjengeSILO uShaka, akukho okungavimba iNtsha ethola iziqu namuhla ukuba ibe nemibono yokusungula izinto ezingaba yinqophamlando ekuphileni kwayo. Ijule ngemicabango, ibe nentshisekelo nogqozi lokuqopha umlando ongaphumelelisa lelizwe  esikhathini sokuphila kwabo.

Kwakuthi uma iSILO uShaka sesihlezi enkundleni yokwahlulela  yamacala, sasithi  ukwahlulela kwaso kungokokugcina. Sasikuthatha ngokuthi kuyisipho esikhulu esivela kuMvelinqangi, ayabela sona sokuba yahlulele abantu bayo ngeqiniso nokulunga.  Umsebenzi wakhe wokubumba isizwe sikaZulu wayekuqonda kahle ukuthi  uwumiselwe ngaBaphansi noMvelinqangi. Wayengenaso isikhathi sokuphumula, ehlala njalo ecabanga ukuthi usemncane, abantu bakhe baseyincosana.

Wayekuqonda kahle ukuthi ikusasa akulona elakhe. Ehlala njalo eninga emqondweni wakhe ukuthi igama lakhe, igama likaZulu, lona oyithina namuhla. Wayekhathazwa yinto eyodwa eyabe iyisibophezelo esikhulu emphefumulweni wakhe yokuthi afe, kodwa lokho ayekuthunywe khona ngaBaphansi, esekufezile. INgonyama uShaka yabusa iminyaka engu-12 kuphela kodwa yakha umbuso kaZulu phezu kwesisekelo esiqinileyo okunamanje uZulu akanakuzanyazanyiswa muntu kuso. Isizwe lesi esinombono. Isizwe lesi samaqhawe. Isizwe lesi esinesibindi. Isizwe lesi esibumbene. Isizwe lesi esingasoze sahlakazwa ngabezizwe.  Kwaba yishwa ukuthi abalobi bokuqala bomlando ngeSILO uShaka, abakuvezi kugqame ukuthi umbumbi wesizwe esikhulu kangaka nesihlonishwa umhlaba wonke waqala ukusibumba esesigabeni sokuba yiNtsha. Ababhali baleso sikhathi bamveza njengomuntu nje, owalambele igazi kuphela.

Ayikaze ikuzwe ukubusa kuleminyaka engu-12 ngoba yayehla yenyuka ukufeza iphupho layo lokwakha umbuso omkhulu noqinileyo kaZulu. Yakhothama ineminyaka engu-41 izelwe, isenendima enkulu nebanzi eyayisethemba ukuthi isazoyihamba. Ngalenkathi ikhothatha yayisathumele izithunywa zayo ezaziholwa uSotobe kaMpangalala Sibiya ukuba ziyoyixhumanisa nemibuso yangaphesheya kwezilwandle. Yayisihlose ukuthi isizwe sayo sixhumane namazwe omhlaba ukuze sifunde izinto ezintsha.

Impilo yeSILO uShaka iyisibonelo esihle kakhulu lapha umuntu omusha ephuma ekhaya eyoziqeqesha ngokuzikhandla okukhulu engaphumuli, imini nobusuku, emnqondweni wakhe efuna ukwenza izinguquko emndenini wakhe, esigodini sakubo, phakathi kwesizwe asakheleyo, nasezweni lakubo eliyigugu elikhulu iNingizimu Afrika. Izinguquko zekusasa lalelizwe sizibheke entsheni yethu eqhamuka kulezi zikhungo zemfundo ephakeme. ISILO uShaka ngenkathi sizula ezintabeni nonina  iNdlovukazi  uNandi, asiphelanga amandla kodwa sasikholwa ukuthi siyaqeqeshwa ukuze sikwazi ukuhlomela ikusasa lempilo yaso neyabantu baso.

Okunye okumele sikuqonde ngeSILO uShaka, iqhaza alibamba ukuqhakambisa abaholi besifazane, eba inkosi yokuqala ukubabeka ukuthi babe amakhanda emizi yobukhosi, ngisho nasezindabeni eziphathelene nokulawula ezempi. Singabala ukuphakanyiswa kweNdlovukazi uNandi, iNdlovukazi uMkabi, uMntwana Inkosazana uMkabayi kaJama, nabanye. Lokhu wakwenza ngesikhathi lapho amanyuvesi amakhulu phesheya kwezilwandle, amaningi awo engakabavumeli abasifazane ukwethweswa iziqu, nokubhala basebenzise amagama abo. Wabuye wabutha waphinde waqeqesha amabutho esifazane. Lokhu nje kukodwa, kukhombisa umqondo ojule kakhulu, nobona lapho abaningi babengakwazi ukufinyelela khona, ngalesosikhathi.

Angikwazi ukuphetha lenkulumo, ngingalibalulanga iqhaza elibanjwe iNyuvesi yaKwaZulu-Natal, ukuqhakambisa izilimi zomdabu, ikakhulu isiZulu. Kusukela ngo-2006, iNyuvesi ihamba phambili ukusebenzisa ulimi lomdabu, isiZulu,  njengolimi lokufunda nokufundisa, emikhakheni eyahlukene. Sikushayela ihlombe lokhu. Siphinde siyiphonsele inselele iNyuvesi ukuthi iqhubekele phambili, ingami nje ndawonye kulokhu esikuqalile.

Siyiphonsela inselele futhi, ukuthi njengoba iyiNyuvesi eqhambisa ukwakhela phezu kombono nenjulalwazi yobu-Afrika, ukuthi ihole ucwaningo, ngeqhaza elabanjwa izwekazi lase Afrika ekuphucuzeni umhlaba jikelele, kuyo yonke imikhakha: ezobuciko, ukwelapha, ezomthetho, ukulima, ubuchule bezokumbiwa phansi, njalonjalo. Iphinde futhi icwaninge ngobukhosi obukhulu base Afrika; hhayi nje eNingizimu Afrika kuphela kodwa kuze kufike emazweni afana noGhana, Ethopia, Mali, Zimbabwe, Malawi njalonjalo. Icwaninge futhi ngezizinda zolwazi ezifana nabo Timbukthu, njalonjalo. Ukubhalwa kabusha komlando wezwekazi i-Afrika, ngeso lama-Afrika, inselele ebhekene nani ngqo, nibambisene nezingcithabuchopho ezizinze emphakathini!

Kwabasha abathole iziqu namuhla, nginibona ninekusasa eliqhakazile ngakho ke ngiyanikhuthaza ukuba nibe nenhloso eyodwa yokuba nani nikhule nize niyokufinyelela emkhathini wezulu ngenxa yolwazi eniluthole kuleNyuvesi. Ikusasa lenu nekusasa lalelizwe lisezandleni zenu. Namuhla niphathiswe isihlonti sobhaqa oluvuthayo nolukhanyayo ukuba niyokhanyisela imiphakathi enivela kuyo emakhaya  enu. Sengigcina nina beSILO, ngithi ngiyathobeka ukuthi, iNyuvesi iyafisa ukusebenza ngokubambisana nemiphakathi yasemakhaya, ikakhulukazi ekwenzeni ucwaningo ngezinto eziyithintayo, nokuqopha imilando yayo imiphakathi. Lokhu ukuhlonishwa kwami namuhla, ngikubona kuzonginika umdlandla nogqozi lokusebenza ngokuzikhandla ngibambisene nabantu bakithi baMakhosi  abahlala ezindaweni zasemakhaya.
